PRF & PRP

Platelet Rich Fibrin / Platelet Rich Plasma

The older we get, the more our skin changes. These changes can include the loss of skin elasticity, wrinkles, deep lines, large pores, dullness and age spots. PRF and PRP are amazing treatments offering a natural solution to rejuvenate and revitalize your skin!

PRF FACIAL

The PRF Facial uses one’s own Platelet Rich Fibrin in conjunction with collagen induction therapy (aka microneedling) to rejuvenate dull skin, minimize dark circles and brown spots, erase acne scars, smooth fine lines and wrinkles, rebuild collagen and improve skin texture. The microneedling procedure creates controlled micro-injuries to the skin that stimulate the bodies natural wound-healing process, while minimizing cellular damage. As the skin heals from this micro-trauma, new collagen is created and scar tissue is broken up. The result is a smoother, tighter skin tone and texture.

Platelet Rich Fibrin is obtained from a simple blood draw which is then centrifuged until is contains a concentrated mix of plasma cells and growth factors that help to promote skin rejuvenation. PRF may be used with microneedling for the face, neck, and decolletage; it may also be injected into the tear troughs (under eyes) and nasolabial folds (smile lines).

For optimum results, four treatments are recommended four to six weeks apart followed by one treatment every three to six months.

PRF SCALP THERAPY

Androgenetic alopecia (AGA) is the most common cause of chronic hair loss, affecting both men and women. In women, hair loss is usually throughout the scalp. In men, hair loss is usually along the front hairline (receding hairline) or balding on the top of the scalp. In AGA, hair follicles start to shrink and die due to lack of blood supply and insufficient nourishment.

PRF helps stimulate hair growth in patients with AGA by increasing blood supply to the hair follicles. The increase in blood supply provides nourishment to hair follicles, which increases follicle diameter and leads to thicker hair shafts. This increased nourishment also stimulates new follicle growth, and thus new hair growth.

PRF works best in patients with hair loss patterns typical of AGA and in patients that started experiencing hair loss within the last five years. The earlier PRF is started the better the results will be. Patients that have been experiencing hair loss for more than five years or exhibit other types of hair loss might see some improvement in hair growth from PRF.
